What a great God we have!

Ephesians 3:14-19 --For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

God has been preparing me in a variety of ways for my Peace Corps experience. I've welcomed many of the lessons; but lately it has become difficult to understand God's plan for us all. Last night, during the prayer/worship service for Haley Chaney and Alyssa Shutt at Lutheran hospital, I saw high schoolers, college students, parents, teachers, etc. humble themselves before God. Let me tell you it is an emotional experience to see the Lord working in so many hearts. I guess what I'm wanting to say is that the world is flawed, but God is perfect! That's why I put part of Paul's letter to the people of Ephesus...God's love for us surpasses the level of our own understanding. His purpose for our lives surpasses our understanding. Do I know what is going to happen in the future, in the Peace Corps, tomorrow?? NO! But I believe that God will lead me as a disciple onward to spread his message of love.

Thank you all for the prayers you've said for me. Please pray for Haley Chaney and family, Angie (Bennett) Brinneman and family, the Krinn family, Alyssa Shutt and family; and for our community, our country, and our world.
